CARE groups is the name for our small group ministry.  CARE stands for:

Christian Education

E
ncouragement

In other words, these are groups formed for the purpose of Christian Education, assisting one another and the community, recreation (having fun together), and encouraging one another.
Small groups form the nucleus of support for individuals.  They grow one another to Christian maturity, they provide support for normal everyday life, they pray for one another, they respond to emergencies, provide care for recovery, and have fun together.

Care groups are formed around the principles laid out in Galatians 6:1-2, “Dear brothers and sisters, if another Christian is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person onto the right path and be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.  Share each other’s troubles and problems, and in this way obey the law of Christ."  We recognize, it can be extremely challenging to stay of the right path - God's path.  Therefore, CARE groups are all about helping one another to stay on the right path through biblical education, support, and fellowship.

CARE groups meet on a weekly or bi-monthly basis.  Generally once a month (if they meet weekly) the group will  have a fun social event in place of a Bible Study.  In addition, 2-4 times a year (depending on the group) the group preforms a community service event together.
